Unhallowed - Alpha Playtest

Hello Adventurers!

We are Meandering Man Games and this is our new game Unhallowed.  Unhallowed is set in a world overcome by darkness and Vampiric hordes that humanity must struggle against to survive.  Your player must be creative to fight back at the onslaught of undead that threatens to end humanity's stent on this world.  

Unhallowed was designed with some important principles and ideas in mind.

Realism:

Unhallowed tries to bring a little more realism into the game.  Players don’t have ability scores, but instead, the items and gear that they use are what give them bonuses to their rolls.  Players' skills are also centered around crafting through various outlets to help create tools for whatever problem arises.

Roleplay Central:

Unhallowed makes roleplaying its central focus by leaning toward creative problem-solving and imagination to express how characters make their way through the world.  There are no abilities to use during combat.  The player can devise an inventive ways to use their gear to attack a situation and the GM can apply hindrances or dominances based on how creative and thematic the action is.  

Character Development:

Your character is the focus, how will they interact with this dangerous and bloodthirsty world?  Explore the concepts of supernatural monsters and monsters in human form.  Are the Vampires the source of humanity's subjugation and decline, or has humanity been the one tearing itself down all this time?

This is our Alpha copy of the game, there are still some setting and administrative things that are being worked on.  But we are excited about any comments or criticism that people might have so that we can make this the best game it can be!  Thank you for reading and we hope to see you around for future updates, as well as future games that we at Meandering Man want to create!
